Kansas hail damage - insurer wants to patch not replace roof

Got hammered by hail and have visible damage all over the roof. Adjuster says they can patch the damaged areas but the roofing company says you cant match the existing shingles and it wont look right or last as long.

In Kansas is there any requirement that repairs match existing materials? Feels like Im getting a patchwork roof that wont hold up to the next storm.
