Ice storm in New Hampshire - tree fell on house

Big ice storm brought down a tree onto our roof. Insurance is covering the roof repair but saying tree removal from the house is separate from tree removal from the yard, and theyre only paying for part of it.

New Hampshire folks - is this normal? They want to remove the tree from the roof, fix the roof, but leave the rest of the tree in my yard for me to deal with. That doesnt seem right.
