Georgia hail claims - dealing with "cosmetic damage" exclusion

We had golf ball sized hail and my roof is dented to hell. Insurance sent adjuster who agreed theres hail damage but says its "cosmetic only" and not covered under my policy.

Since when is a metal roof covered in dents just cosmetic? Georgia friends - has anyone successfully fought this exclusion? The dents are holding water which seems like itll cause problems eventually.
