AC unit died in 115 degree heat - got it covered as emergency

Sharing a small win. Our AC compressor died during that brutal heat wave last July when it was 115+ for like a week straight. Initially insurance said HVAC isnt covered but I argued it was an emergency situation that could cause further damage (burst pipes from heat, etc).

The adjuster ended up approving emergency repairs under "loss prevention." Got about $3k covered for the new compressor. Worth pushing back if youre in a similar situation in Arizona summers.
